Hello! I am thinking of adding support for lawn mower mqtt to be able to use https://github.com/weweave/landroid-bridge
My question is if a new category for lawn mowers should be added in components, like it is for vacuums for example.
I personally feel there should be a ‘robots’ category

That could work
All new major changes to the core (like new generic components such as robots) need to be discussed in the architecture repo now.
Just open an issue in https://github.com/home-assistant/architecture and explain what exact capabilities a generic lawn mower/robot has, what attributes it should have and what services can be called on it.
(I don’t know the vacuum component so I can’t say if a lawn mower could be a vacuum device in ha)
Robot lawn mower is definitely in the same category as vacuum cleaners.
But @OttoWinter is right, needs to validated in architecture.
This would be scary with kids!
Knowing my kids I would be outside doing something near the mower and my kids would say “hey google, start the mower!”
