New default dashboard

Now have to wonder what the heck was moving in someone’s head when designing the new default dashboard… Never seen so stupid idea for it’s purpose.
Few minutes i tried to understand that idea, then created again “legacy” default dashboard. Very nice, that possibility to do that was left available.

This can happen if you use free software created by others…

So despite the fact that you can just go back to what, for me, was a terrible first user experience of the old default dashboard you still felt the need to come here and insult anyone behind the new dashboards build? And without any attempt at ‘why’?

Why? Just move on and leave it for those that do appreciate it. :man_shrugging:

You aren’t wrong @jkirjo
I’m going to try it anyway because that is the projects future vision, and it’s not my project.
I only use it for free-ish.

What insult? I can’t figure out the purpose for the new dashboard and said it. Perhaps it could be cleared with this discussion.
English is not my native language and i really won’t be start any argue with it.

Maybe you forgot the wording of your first post since your last answer?
Can’t think of another reason for your question.

I can’t see any insult there, only wondering.
My skills is not enough to say it any “nicely”, it was a best what i can produce.
Sorry, if you are insulted, when someone creates something useless.

I think the idea around the new dashboard is to provider new users and easier approach to home assistant at the very beginning of their journey.
It Is not for advanced users that already have their sophisticated dashboards.

I don’t want to start an argument or criticize you, just clarifying and helping you to understand.

The fact that you don’t understand the reasoning behind this decision is OK.
By reading the release notes, following the development of every release, watching the release presentation: you could have known this.

Even if you didn’t get the thought process behind it, saying this is a stupid idea is certainly not positive.

Tip: if English is not your mother tongue, you can use a translator for understanding/composing important things.
This is also not my first language and I try my best to make myself understandable, respectful and socially fitting.
