Plugged new HA Green into my router as per instructions. App not detecting HA. Checked router settings via PC Win11. Device shows at http://192.168.0.236 but doesnt connect via :8123 HomeA Observer at :4357/ shows Supervisor: Connected Support: Supported Health: Healthy. No other buttons or info. As internet is provided by Starlink Gen 2 ensured that it is in pass through mode. Changed |Primary DNS|8.8.8.8|
| — | — | |Secondary DNS|1.1.1.1| in case starlink was the issue, Ping results attached.
After reading forums flashed with haos_green-16.2.img - after all these interventions no change to the situation. Cannot help worrying that I am making everything worse - I wonder if anyone has any suggestions on where to go from here?
And you are connecting to it how? Using wifi? If you use wifi it should be on the same subnet as your wifi … so if it is on 192.168.0.x your wifi should give your comp the same subnet…
Thank you for your patience! I have done that now but no change to any symptoms. By the way, LEDs are full white left. flash green (middle) double flash orange
I am out of options, then.
SSH into Home Assistant and try:
ha core rebuild
ha core restart
ha host reboot
I just had another thought- make sure the computer trying to connect to the Home Assistant server (Green), from the PC command line, type ipconfig. The first three octets of the IPv4 and gateway should be the same as the Home Assistant server> In my case, 192.168.1
If you are getting a response from Home Assistant Observer, all this network troubleshooting is a waste of time. Your HA Green is online with the IP shown. The Observer web interface tells you the status of the Operating System and Supervisor. They are fine and networking is fine. Your Home Assistant docker container isn’t running.
@stevemann advice is the next logical step. Rebuild the core docker container as he described.
Hi again. Perhaps to clarify - I purchased Home Assistant Green because it was supposed to be plug-and-play and comes with Home Assistant already installed. I have connected it to my router and using the android app as per instructions failed to connect to it. From there down the rabbit hole of routers and starlink. But it seems that I have defined an IP address and HA sees it because I can connect to the observer web interface. So now I have to SSH into HA. Not really clear what that all entails but for starters in terminal I get: ssh [email protected]
ssh: connect to host 192.168.0.236 port 22: Connection refused. By the way i have flashed haos_green-16.2.img and then booted with a CONFIG USB Setup inserted as well.
I was intending to clarify, that i am not familiar with raspberries, linuxes or even that comfortable with routers but I am a computer user of many decades - so I appreciate the assistance but go easy on me please!?
No worries! Let’s go back to basics, though. Open a standard browser on a computer that’s connected to your 192.168.0.x network, and enter in the address bar http://192.168.0.236:8123/, then show us what you see in that browser…
Now it is saying Refused to connect but Home Assistant Observer is connecting and saying |Supervisor:|Connected|
| — | — |
|Support:|Supported|
|Health:|Healthy|
