I had a previous installation of HA with just a few devices but I was getting rate limit warnings on a fairly new installation of PiHole. I thought I’d reinstall HA and see if the warnings would stop. They haven’t. Right away I’m getting warnings before setting up any devices. I’m using the Proxmox VE Helper Script to set up a VM. Could this be a VE script or PiHole issue? My router also has a random MAC address detected warning for HA but I’m not sure it’s relevant.
Any ideas where I should start looking?
Sounds like the same behaviour reported here HA spamming PTR DNS lookups?
Interesting. It looks like it’s been a problem for some time. I have AdGuard Home in a Proxmox LXC and PiHole on a Raspberry Pi. It used to be two instances of AGH but thought I’d try PiHole. Maybe I’ll just remove PiHole and go back to AGH on the Pi.
Pretty sure there’s workarounds in the thread I linked. I don’t use pi hole though, so you might have to do some reading
I ended up removing PiHole and going back to AdGuard Home. So far so good.
