New installation on a Pi5 taking forever

I’m moving along from a Pi4 to a Pi5 and things were going rather smoothly until the system started. It’s trying to update but it’s stuck here for over 15 minutes now

Is there a reason for it to be this slow? My network is working fine and so is my internet speed. Any thoughts on this? Is there a way to bypass this update?

15 minutes would be a minimum minimum on a pi.
I usually suggest a couple of hours wait before you hard reset.

Start it in the evening and let it run overnight even better.

Why NOT to buy a PI to run Home Assistant

I waited 5 hours before pulling the plug
It booted…needed a bios update disappeared again but it’s booting up fine now
It’s so much faster compared to a pi4 with 4gb
Thanks!
