New Kasa device needs password

Why can I add my newest Kasa HS300 to the alexa app, Google home app, Tapo App, Kasa app but not to Home Assistant? In home assistant is asks for user name and password that it refuses to accept.

If it is a Kasa wifi device, then once you add the TP Link-Kasa Integration it should load automatically when you have added it to the TP Link-Kasa App on your phone. You do not need to add the devices individually to HA.

I didn’t add it individually. I add all my Kasa devices at the same time. The older devices added just fine but the newer device asks for user and password but will not accept them.

My question is whether you added the devices in your phone’s Kasa APP or in HA directly ?
I enter them in the Kasa APP and then use the TP Link-Kasa HA Integration to synchronize into HA.

That is exactly what I did. All but one would add to HA. All the other devices I had for some time but the one that asks for user and password is a newer device that I have not had that long. But it was in the Kasa app with the other devices.

Just to be sure… They are are all Kasa wifi devices and not na mix of wifi and zigbee ?
