New SmartThings Integration

As a result of the very recent changes to the SmartThings Integration to work better with HA, my original integration stopped working and I ended up removing it from HA and reinstalling it.

I made sure to unlink the HA instance in my SmartThings account within the app.

When I try to add the integration back into HA and asked to reauthorize the account through the SmartThings website pop up says it was successful in linking the account and to close the webpage window.

When I go back into HA I get a message that says “Account is already linked”. But the integration is not there. It does show HA is linked in the SmartThings app.

Does anyone have any guidance to assist in fixing this?

Check if you have disabled integrations. If not, unlink the integration in the SmartThings app and set up again

Thanks. But, unfortunately that doesn’t work. Tried it like a billion times.

What ended up working that I had to scour the internet for, is removing a left over SmartThings code line in one of the HA hidden folder files.

Oh that’s interesting, but it works now?

Yes. Rock solid now. I guess when i removed my original SmartThings integration in favor of the new SmartThings HA integration and unlinked HA from SmartThings, there were some code lines left over that needed to be removed manually.
