Just installed HAOS on NUC and bought a 800 Z-Wave USB Stick. I have a bunch of these DW-10 and GB1-345 sensors:
Trying to add them with no success:
Following the programming instructions for each to no avail. Any suggestions here. I could be missing something very basic here.

First. Congratulations and welcome.
Second
ZWave is a meshing network. Great!
Battery operated devices do not repeat in the mesh. (looks at your pile of devices)
The ones installed close by will be fine but more than about 30m and you will need a backbone of hardwired repeating devices. Almost all hardwired devices (switches etc) repeat, so do you have that?

what steps did you follow to activate Zwave on this HAOS machine?

Ahhh… ok no. These are from an old Vivint alarm system - they had to all connect direct to that.
I also don’t plan to have a lot of Wave. The new items I add will probably be Zigbee etc.

As the devices are used already, did you exclude them from the previous installation? If not, they won’t connect.
You need to exclude them.
If not possible, do a factory reset on them.

According to this, they are not Zwave devices?
The 2GIG DW10-345 is a thin, wireless door and window contact that operates at the 2GIG 345 MHz frequency. It is compatible with most 2GIG Alarm Panels, and it also works on the Honeywell Lyric and the 345 MHz IQ Panel 2 Plus. Buy the 2GIG DW10-345...

Yup - I think you are right. Was fooled by 2GIG having these in their Wave section of the website.
