New user can’t get app to work

Hi. Just installed home assistant green. What a learning curve. I can access via browser on my nacbook. Also via app on laptop. But the iPhone app keeps saying. “Connecting” then fails and stats again. I have deleted it twice and reinstalled to no effect

Can you access it via browser on your iPhone? If so, check in Settings, Home Assistant and check that Local Network is enabled.

Open Safari on the iPhone and try:

http://homeassistant.local:8123

If that page loads, the network connection is working and the problem is probably with the Companion App configuration.
