New user having trouble with Conbee and Aqara sensors

Hi you all!

Just recently bought my self a Conbee II stick and some sensors from Aqara, temp/humidity and motion to start off with.

So I downloaded the wmdk-file and converted it so I could use it as a VM in my Unraid-server and then I passed the Conbee stick.
Fired everything up and installed the deCONZ plugin, started up that and began to add the sensors no problem so far, got good readings and so on.
But it seems like as soon as I let the sensors “rest” they loose connection and I have to reset and add them again, after the third time I started reading around, and there’s alot to read when it comes to Home Assistent but I could not find anyone else with the same issue, some with some sensors randomly stop working, but all mine (5 at the moment) stop working.

Found some post about upgrading the firmware but it seems the commands do not work on the OS in the wmdk-file, it does not recognize “systemctl” or “GCFFlasher_internal” so that was a no go.

Anyone familiar with this issue and in the mood to help a noob?

Yes first step would be to make sure to get the latest FW. If it doesn’t work on your system connect the Conbee to another computer.

You should also try adding an extension cord, which usually solves some issues with connectivity

Extension cord is already in place.

What system would be best to use to update the firmware with?
Read somewhere that windows won’t work.

Windows should work afaik

Or any linux system I guess

Yes, Windows worked, don’t know where I got that from…
First I made new Ubuntu VM, but it seems that updating the firmware from within a VM is somewhat sketchy, the flashtool resets the device before the flash, and the host don’t automatically remounts the device to the VM…

Anyway, got the firmware updated and I have resetted all my sensors and added them again, so now I got to wait a while and see what happens.

Will be reporting back in a while.

Well, the updated firmware seems to have fixed the issue.

i run deconz in docker on my synology nas… There were loads of little nuances in running it either on my primary Hassio (intel nuc build) or on an RPI. Since I decoupled deconz from HA and ran standalone, i have not had any issues…
