Hello everyone, Im sure that this is a question asked by a lot of new users and i’ve searched through a bunch of similar topics but didn’t find a solution for my problem.
I installed HA a couple of weeks ago and it was up and running fine. I am using am X86 mini pc to run the OS and was able to get that going no problem. Yesterday I started to mess around with dashboards and other things within the UI, still no issue… I did create my custom .local address for my instance yesterday but outside of that, I didn’t do anything that (I think) would have caused the whole thing to crash.
Today, whenever I try to access my instance whether it be via the app in ios, my custom .local address or the homeassistant.local:8123 address, I get the same error message in Chrome which is the " This site can’t be reached… Check if there is a typo in homeassistant.local."
Ive tried rebooting everything (my x86 pc, laptop) as well as clearing all my cache and still no luck. I plugged a monitor into the x86 and after it ran through all the lines of tasks at startup, it landed on the HA command line screen, which shows my ip addresses as well as my updated .local address that I created yesterday. It looks as if everything is running perfect there I just cannot access my UI using the methods that I have been.
Can anyone help me out here? I am not a software guy or a coder by any means. I can manage following directions and am not afraid to try things that I have never done before. Any help if greatly appreciated. Thanks guys/gals!
Mike
