New x86 install can't connect to :8123, ping and :4357 are success

Hi, I’m new to Home Assistant so have patients with me please. I successfully booted Home Assistant on a mini PC and have an IPv4 IP address which I can ping from my computer, see on my router map, and successfully connect to Observer :4357. However I can not get onboarding started because :8123 refuses to connect. I have disabled my firewall and virus software. But no success. I have tried different browsers, no success. Is there a router setting I might need to look at? Thanks for any help.

Check the logs

ha core logs -vf
ha supervisor logs -vf
ha host logs -vf

Any way to see the console of the HA install?
And did you try http://x.x.x.x:8123
Sometime browsers will try https and that will fail

Hi - yes I have a console to see ha.
I also tried http://xxx.xxx.xx.xx:8123 with same results. I made sure it wasn’t https each time. So far no luck.

Hmm, not sure what to look for in the logs. There sure is a lot of information on the screen.
In Core logs, everything appears to show success, however I do see things like “Home Assistant Core service shutdown”, and services starting and stopping.

In Supervisor logs, things look a bit scary.
“SQLite Web” uses deprecated ‘advanced’ field in config. This field is ignored by the Supervisor. Same for ‘arch’ and ‘MQTT I0’.
I also see a line that reads: Home Assistant has crashed! followed by Can’t start Home Assistant Core - rebuilding.
Then there are many more lines, with the final one saying autofix compete.

Host logs has quite a bit in it too.

The Banner page shows IPv4 IP address 192.168.50.28/24
I’ve been trying to use that for onboard. When I ping computer I can see that address. Same for Router map, it’s there and says “home assistant”.

Final banner line says: System is ready! Use browser or app to configure.

Share pictures of what you see.

Hi everyone. I have an update.

I read on some other posts that re-flashing the hard drive with the haos image helped. So I just did that and IT WORKED! Not sure why the first flash (using Rufus both times) did not work.

But I’m now up and starting the process of learning Home Assistant and setting up my house.

Thanks for all your help so far. I’m sure I’ll be searching this forum for help as I go!
