Newbie question: Where to upload integrations

Hi all,

I’m new to Home Assistant.

I’ve found a third party integration for Enphase Envoi and I want to integrate this. But to which folder do I need to upload the integration?
I’ve installed Samba and uploaded the files to config/custom_components/enphase_envoi
Is this the correct location?

Thanks,
Robin

Sorry but the title of your post is totally obscure and not helpful to anyone searching for an answer or indusive to anyone who may actually be able to help.
As the OP you can change it (just click on it to edit it).

I’d change it from “Newbie question:” to something like “Help with Enphase Envoi Integration”

You are totally right. I forgot my question

That’s okay, you should get a lot more foot traffic this way.
I suggest you read the sticky at the top of the forum, there’s some very good advice in there.
Good luck

The instructions that it came with should explain, but that looks right.

It only gave instructions for the configuration file.

Do I have to put all integrations in that folder?

No, you put custom components in the custom_components/ folder - each in their own folder.

Stock integrations you don’t have to do anything like that with.

Thanks for your response.

  1. That is what I meant. So I have the Enphase Envoi integration and I have put that via Samba in config/custom_components/enphase_envoi

Other integrations must also have their own folder in config/custom_components/

How do I make sure that the information is shown in the overview? Is this done by the integration or do I need to add this manually?

  1. When I perform ‘Configuration Validation’ in the admin panel then this keeps loading for a long time. The page is visible but I see the colored wheel spinning. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance.

You’d refresh the UI, or take control.

The UI check is sometimes incomplete, see the command line option.
