I purchased some NFC tags to integrate to HA and ran into my first issue that my Automations YAML file was automation.yaml not automations.yaml. After renaming + mapping this in the main configuration yaml and restarting HA I could write the NFC tag correctly to the registered automation file.
However each time I revisit the UI it prompts me to create a new automation for the tag. Is this by design? or something in my configuration restricting this?
I can see the tag automation in YAML and am confident enough with this to manage it from here but it was a bit confusing at first.
