When I click open web ui form the proxy manager it tries to open a webpage using my duckdns address:81 and I recieve the message site can’t be reached. If I enter the Hassio IP:81 is works.
I am running hassio .103 and nginx proxy manager version 0.3.1. What am I doing wrong?

You’re not doing anything wrong, these things are configured to open the webui based on your homeassistant url. Obviously you haven’t port-forwarded 81 (and that is correct) so for this addon the openwebui button won’t work when you’re using the external url.
Just open the ui manually 
(I don’t know whether a feature request at the repo might mean an option can be set to only use the internal ip for that addon, or whether it’s even possible, but worth an ask if it’s causing problems for you)
