Nimly lock, with Zigbee module

I would agree that there must be weak signals. The lock is metal and the module sits behind the pcb.

I posted my experiences 5 days ago here, and last night my connect module stopped working again. The lights on the module is on, so it is getteing power but it does not respond to any button press.
Emailed Nimly last night and had an answer this morning and im getting a new module.
Is it possible that low battery could be bricking the module somehow?
I dont think my lock reports battery correctly and i had no reason to suspect that my batterys were low. However when i measured them last night they were around 1,2v all three.
This would be the third set of batterys i put in the lock since buying it in july 2025.
Im thinking that if the module looses connection for some periods it drains the batterys by trying to reconnect. Its just a guess…

Does anybody know if it is at all possible to get a message when the door opens from the inside with the handle? I can’t see anything in the z2m logs when turning the handle…

I mailed Easyaccess a week ago and got a new module yesterday, with a return slip to send back the old one. The firmware on the old module was 4.7.78, from 20240416, and the new module had the firmware 4.8.01 from 20240625. Seems like that’s the newest firmware. I actually received the old module (that was a replacement too) in July 20204, after the creation date of the newest firmware, but I guess the firmware was too new to put on customer devices. I hope this will have better stability, in combination with the IKEA TrĆ„dfri repeater.

I also used double-sided tape between the PCB and the module, after the idea @kork123 came up with, so at least I know that will not be the problem if something happens. The young couple renting the appartment where the door is, have a tendency to slam the door… Generation Z. :joy:

I can confirm that. Using ZHA here.

Hi @endallas1, do all the lock’s sensors now work after moving to Z2M?

Edit: And @Fumble

Yes everything works as it did in zha 2026.1.3.

Except that the door does not report unlocking from the manual handle inside , but that is probably a feature, not a bug… (I had the lock on zha for a week or so and didn’t notice if ā€œhandle operationsā€ generated unlock events on zha, don’t think so)
