Hi. I have a problem with HA. In Settings there is no Add-Ons. I installed HA in Virtual Box on Windows 11 system, I am admin (as HA shows in Abous section). Tried reinstalling, asking ChatGPT, but couldn’t get it show Add-Ons. Anybody else had same problem or have a solution to this? Kind regards.
Add-Ons were renamed to Apps in 2026.2.
AFAIK they are in the exact same place in the Settings menu as they were previously:
That’s a bad habit when it comes to HA… the combination of monthly updates, and essentially-poisoned training data based on old information, leads to poor results from most LLM bullshit engines.
Unless you use very detailed, specific prompts that provide clear limits, grounding, and context; you will almost always get answers that:
- Seem plausible, but don’t work. Making them require a high level of understanding to debug.
- Use actions, configuration variables, and Jinja functions that don’t exist.
- Use actions and functions that are not fit for purpose.
Unless you are already well acquainted with the necessary sources, limits, and context specific to HA, you’re unlikely to avoid those pitfalls. The LLMs are therefore mostly a waste of time.
Iy never occurred to You, to Click/Tap around, i always do that in new APP’s checking every link … always "exiting " to see if one can find back, to Front-Page ![]()
( But i mostly do it to see what it has to offer, and where i can find things )
Oh how I laughed! LLMs are not AI. They just regurgitate slop in a pretty formatted fashion with no spelling mistakes. Garbage in - garbage out. They can’t even keep up with weekly and monthly HomeAssistant releases.
Never ever get the two confused. As can be seen in your example, the placement and colors of the icons would lead to the quick recognition that the same functionality was present between releases, even without reading the recommended release notes, for a human. Your machine assisted hallucination failed miserably.
