Starting with version 2026.9, there are no longer any homatic.keypress events. For this reason, the Switch Manager no longer works with the new HA version.
Is this meant as an issue report, or a warning, or a feature request?
Trying to decide where this should be categorized.
Its a issue
Are you typing it in right? Should be homematic.keypress, not homatic.keypress & according to the Docs, it’s still supported
That was, of course, a typing error.
However, with the upgrade, it is precisely these events that no longer occur

Found the cause / workaround:
Since 2026.9 the Homematic integration seems to have moved from firing raw homematic.keypress bus events to exposing event entities (domain event.*) instead. That’s why the press still shows up in the Logbook/Activity view — it’s coming through the new entity, not the old event bus.
Fix: go to the device page for your Homematic device (Settings → Devices & Services → Devices), check if there’s now an event.* entity for the relevant channel/button, and rebuild the automation trigger on that entity (“Device” → “Event received” / the entity’s event trigger) instead of the legacy event_type: homematic.keypress trigger. Worked for me — automation is back to normal without downgrading.
Might be worth flagging in the release notes / breaking changes for 2026.9, since anyone relying on the old homematic.keypress event trigger will hit this silently (no error, the automation just stops firing).
