No password screen

Hi,

New devices that I try to use to login to Home Assistant do not show the password entry screen. Instead they hang at the “Loading data” prompt, with the message “Connection lost. Reconnecting…” in the lower left corner.

I have tried (and failed) logging in on

  • Android phone
  • Firefox desktop browser
  • Edge desktop browser
  • Chrome incognito tab

Devices that I have previously logged in on continue to work as expected.

  • A different Android phone
  • Chrome desktop

Things that I have changed in my system since logging in successfully are:

  • an apt-get upgrade (Rassbian Jessie)
  • upgraded Home Assistant from 0.55.1 to 0.57

Further things:

  • if I disable password login everything works as expected
  • if I manually go through the developer tools in Chrome or Firefox, into “local storage” and add an “authToken:[my password]” pair, I am auto logged in. Removing this recreates the issue (and I have no way of doing this on Android)
  • if on the working devices I delete the authToken, I get a password screen and everything functions as expected

Any ideas?

Got the same problem, just listening in for a possible solution!

I have the same problem with 0.57. I upgraded from0.56.2.

I have the same problem

Looks like the new 0.57.1 is your solution

Yes, working now.

is it already updated?

had the startup issue after the latest update: loading but immediate loss of connection and hang. On webbrowser on the Mac (not iPhone app). Solved it by losing the api-password for the time being. (was able to do so thanks to the ssh (reboot host) and samba (editing the config file in Finder)

yes, but how to get it??
On Hassio, the update doesn’t show up
