Trying to add NodeRED and Studio Code Server to my HA but cannot complete the installation as it required 64bit. I hv checked mine thru Glances an it states Alpine Linux 3.19.1 32bit / Linux 6.6.62-haos-raspi. Is there a way to work this out ?
Hello Carlo,
Some add-ons require 64bit on your server. What server are you running that it has to be 32 bit?
Unfortunately the newest version of the nodered add on does not support 32 bit any longer.
Tks for your replies. I cannot remember why I hv got a 32bit installation, I must hv selected something wrong at the time of the HA download maybe ? In any case, can you suggest a tutorial where I can see how to upgrade fm 32 to 64 bit ? tks a lot
It’s pretty straight forward
Hi Mike, tks for yr tip. I am afraid I’m too inexperienced in this field, I will never achieve the goal to create my HA with so poor computer coding basis. I would rather stop driving all of you mad with my questions and try to study some basis first. Could you suggest me what a good online course would be, so that I can then approach to HA with more knowledge ? Tks
Unfortunately there is no one class that covers HA. HA also uses several different coding languages. Even with knowing the languages, there is still a learning curve for HA. The best way to learn it, is to use it.
This particular task may seem difficult but it is one of the easier things to accomplish. What are you running HA assistant on? pi, green, yellow, etc? Do you have the samba addon installed? You will need that to copy the backup to another computer. Here is an install video.
