Has everyone got this going ok? Does it open up some more configuration options than the app?
We have a new pool & spa with full insnrg setup (heat pump and gas heater), and I’d love to be able to set up some automation to make use of some excess solar and the heat pump throughout the year.
Is access to the API still being given? Or any closer to general release?
Thanks
Use this integration: GitHub - jaringuyen/InsnrgHomeAssistance: Custom integration to control pH, ORP, Pool Temperature and Timer from INSNRG Pool Chlorinators (via HACS)
I set up the old one before this to monitor things, but the official one is now out and lets to use more features and you could write automations around it. You need to enable voice control in your app for some reason (I think it is tied to that API). I don’t think there are more features than the app, but with the data and control you should be able to integrate it with solar output through automations.

The integration opens pretty much all the configuration items available in the INSNRG app,m so you can use that as part of automations and scripts. The attached screenshots
Yes you can use automations like if solar excess then turn on heat pump if your heat pump is connected to your INSNRG system or to a smart switch (note that most smart switches are quite limited to 2kw and might not be sufficient to power the heat pump)
E-mail Jari from INSNRG and he should be able to set you up. [email protected]
Thanks all, got this up and running last night!
But I had 19 sensors come online, so may be mssing a few? (38 mentioned in github)
Will this depend on the hardware model installed?
We have the ‘Vi Automation & chlorination system’, but I can’t see the valve actuators for example. And vf contact heat pump is there, but not the gas heater.
Have reloaded but no change.
I really want to be able to control the valve actuators (so we can filter the pool independently from the spa, so we’re not mixing the hot & cold water).
Would anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Sorry I don’t know about those.
In that case, probably best to reach out to the INSNRG dev team (jari) he might need some time to get back to you but they have been super helpful. Once resolved, don’t forget to update here so others can benefit from your findings.
Good luck!
