NSpanel problem with updating the TFT display

Hi, I have a problem with NSpanel EU - another one xD, but maybe I’ll describe it in another thread. Firmware ripped by ESPhome and controlled by Blueprint. It was supposed to be easy and fun xD. Well… I have a problem with updating the TFT display (screenshots). As you can see, I have a notification about the old firmware version, but I don’t have the update option in the device configuration. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

I see +2 disabled entities, is it not in there? Ask the developer of the blueprint if not.

On a side note, if your screen is working fine then my advice is to not upgrade, there are quite a bit of reported issues where an (not per sé this one) upgrade failed and requiring a full reset. At least I would verify why you need to upgrade before doing so

The invisible entities are “baud rate” and “firmware.” When I turn on the firmware, there is only a lack of updates for ESP. As for updates, I just like it when everything works.

Agree and not sure what blueprint you used, the one I could find does mention TFT update as a config option, raise a issue there would be my suggestion. Still…never change a running system is the main advice

EDIT: I do all manually and more than once I needed to open the thing and connect the screen via cables…not a fun thing and requiring additional hardward

I use blueprint by Blackymas: GitHub - Blackymas/NSPanel_HA_Blueprint: This allows you to configure your complete NSPanel via Blueprint with UI and without changing anything in the code.

I update from ESPHOME Builder, otherwise it doesn’t work.

French …

Can you explain to me exactly how? Like for dumb person - maybe I’m doing somethimg wrong.

@red_anonymouse Were you able to get rid of the notification?
I have tried both pressing the update button and updating from ESPhome uilder without luck.

I am using the same automation as you and I get the same error/notification as you were.

On the main screen of ESP Builder, in the tile for your device at the bottom, you will see three dots. After selecting them, you must choose “Delete build files” and then perform a new installation via wireless connection. It helps in my case.
