Nuki Lock via Homekit Controller out of the box without Nuki Bridge

Hi, since recent, the Nuki Door Lock shows up in my available integrations through Home Kit Controller.
So it seems like it is possible to add the Nuki Lock via Bluetooth and without Nuki Bridge to Home Assistant.
Has anybody got this to work?
When I try to pair with HomeKit Code, I always get an error:

I’m not sure, if it is really possible to add Nuki Lock via this integration. Does anybody now?

I encountered the same error, reboot Home Assistant and also restart your Nuki device and be ready to pair with the pairing code as soon as its detected - this worked for me. First try the reboot of Home Assistant alone.

Any home assistant devices recognized by Home Assiatnt should pair as long as yiu have the key.

I don’t use HomeKit but had problems pairing with an addon bridge (installed addon in my PI, not the nuki physical bridge) and it was because I didn’t paired it and configured it first with the smartphone.

Did you manage to connect it? I’m facing the same issue.

I got mine to pair successfully and I was able to lock and unlock, however it was painfully slow (well over a minute at times) and very unreliable.

I have ended up removing it from Homekit Controller in Home Assistant as at times it just refused to work, shows the wrong status, shows that a locking/unlocking event has taken place when it hasn’t or there are missed events. I have ended up just using Apple Home app as it works first time every time.

It appeared yesterday, with my new Nuki, the old one never did.
But, I still prefer my hackish bridge with ESP32. Cheap, quick and it will natively work with MQTT without using any external API.

I have the same issues. Has someone figured out what could be the root cause (e.g. signal strength etc.) or got it to work?
