Onboard USB Not Activated

Greetings,

I just received my HA Yellow Box and have configured most of my devices (Insteon, Matter, etc.)

I need to swap out the Insteon Hub2 for the PLM, however it appears that the onboard USB ports are not active. I have tested with 2 PLMs and other USB A & C devices ,but HA does not see anything.

Has anyone seen this before or have any debug/resolution suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Does it need drivers to be installed for the chip on the hub?
The linux startup log should show if the devices were detected but no drivers were installed.

Hello Denver Home,

You should be able to see anything you plug in here.
It is likely to need to have an integration to talk to it.
Things like memory sticks are not setup to work.
Open your Home Assistant instance and show hardware information.

Thanks for the question IOT7712

Some context, I’m new to HA/Linux so I may as some basic questions.

I don’t see any USB entries showing up in the boot logs.

Is there any documentation or tips you can share as to how to install the drivers or activate them if they are there and just flagged as off?

No USB devices are showing up in the hardware views. (I’ve tried 2 PLMs on both USBA ports and the USBC port)

Resolution Found: Home Assistant Yellow had its USB jumpers in the wrong place. A quick shift of the jumper 1 space to the left and bingo, it works.
