I have a core installation, of which support ends this year. So I installed haos on an other machine and started a restore as onboarding. The restore start was yesterday morning. The backup file is 258 MB with these integrations:
How much longer could the restore take on a i5-7500?
Or what is the best place to look what causes the restore not to finish?
That gives hope. I would not shut down the device as long as the onboarding is present.

I am especially keen on keeping my energy history. My next step is copying the current core setup, disabling most of the integrations and see if a backup is then restoreable.
Copying the current core setup to a virtual machine, remove most of the integrations and then restore a backup is done in no time.
For now that will be the solution I think I am going to use: isolated core setup for history purposes.
I made a backup with integrations removed and restored that on a haos instance, but that failed.
