I’m in the situation where one RFXCOM will not reach everything reliably. Most of the time, everything works, but occasionally there is too much noise on the 433,92mhz frequency so that several smart switches won’t respond, sometimes for days.
I just can’t write my head around what the right solution for this may be. I’ve considered the daunting idea of adding a second RFXCOM, but that seems like a less-than-ideal solution. I have issues with TRANSMITTING from RFXCOM, receiving sensors isn’t the issue. Also, I’ve already got a beafy antenna, placed in a central location, so there’s not much more I can do with that.
I tried a Nexa repeater, but it failed to actually trigger the smart plugs. Maybe there are better repeaters available? Haven’t found any yet.
Any suggestions? There must be some wise knowledge from people that already solved similar situations. Before I switched to HA I used two Telldus live devices and this worked, because I could spread them out. Now I*ve only got one point of transmission and it just won’t work reliably.
