Came home after a week away and my porch light didn’t come on. I checked the dashboard and a different z wave device was still showing connected and working (a plug in switch) but the light wasn’t. I did see that I had several updates pending so did the updates and things started working. But wondering how to prevent such things in the future. I don’t know much about looking in the logs but can try to find some details there.

Disconnect happens because device doesn’t connect with controller
Update pending will not cause this
Check for connection/communication issue with device in device info >> 3 dots next to configure >> statistics . Look for a lot of dropped commands.
