I purchased five Nest mini 2 PCB drop-in boards in early 2024. At the time, my system was a Pi5 for HA and an oldish laptop for inference offload. Everything worked as expected, except the inference offload. Nowhere near enough horsepower to do what I wanted to do. Tossed everything in a box until i could get my servers out of storage. Fast-forward to two weeks ago. Got an R740 setup and my Pi5 with all new HA/ESP configs. NOTHING WORKED, not even close. So, after many days and dozens of hours of testing, Claude and I finally have a working model. right now, I just have ‘ok_nabu’ and the volume up and volume down don’t work, but that should be resolved soon.
