Just thought I would share my PC hardware I used to load HA. I have no association with this Amazon offering. I just feel it is a good bang for the buck.
It comes with Ubuntu, but I replaced the OS with Debian 12 as my reading up, it seemed the best approach. For Debian, I used a RW DVD ISO. Bought an external drive, but I had a disk kicking around that was surely a decade old!
I recently decided I wanted another PC to experiment with, and hours more searching and it was hard to justify something else around $100 that fit the capabilities.

As I like to tinker, I welcome thoughts on other mini PCs that serve you well. Also, if there are others using the same PC, I hope I hear from you.
Even the Rasberry Pi offerings look more costly at Amazon, yet they seem certainly popular for HA.
It’s only just in the last couple months, I learned about the acronym NUC. Back in the day I used to have bare bones mother boards crunching on linux for folding@home Team#4. There were 10 under the basement stairs that would boot up from my network. I wad more hardware aware back then. I am learning all over again and feel a growing interest in PC technology.
