Option to enable/disable power production in Ephase Envoy

In the Enphase thread there was a few different opinions. But the original method was to short out the resistor. That’s what I’m going to try, someone also seemed to confirm this last week using a piece of wire to short out DRM 1 & 3

did you see this one: Stop solar panels from producing energy when electricity price is negative. Tibber / Enhpase Envoy. That’s not using a short.

There are multiple threads talking about “short DRM0” and multiple threads talking about “open DRM0”. I’m trying to find out functional difference inside Enphase, but cannot find it. Found youtube video from somebody shorting DRM0. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXcjyuHUhyo. Anybody has inside Enphase information?

To become your own installer:

  1. Go to Enlighten Manager and register yourself as a Solar Company
  2. When registration is finished, go to Account - Company Info and copy the request access link.
  3. Login with your homeowner enphase account and paste the link. Now you can select your other account as installer.
  4. Login to your local gateway with the new installer account and click in installer login. Now you can disable power production. (use this account in home-assistant as well)

As of about a week ago, the Pull Request I wrote for the Enphase Envoy (Installer) Home Assistant Integration was accepted and added to release 0.80. This allows you to enable/disable Dynamic Power Export Limiting on the Enphase Envoy. The functionality is exposed as simple Home Assistant Services, so you can write simple Automations to enable/disable power export.

Quick addition, though it’s there, be sure to create a COMPANY profile, not a DIY installer, as enphase will charge you 250 bucks for a DIY account transfer
