Totally understandable. I know ESPhome displays now have an easy UI system, I wonder if some of that work could be reused. Unfortunately, I am not technical enough to get this pushed further along, but I can follow directions and take pictures.
I might actually see if I could get AI to do some of the heavy lifting. Now that I have like 6 of these, I might have to do something about it.
Reusing the ESPhome display project would be incredible. @jakewharton, I still think it was super cool to see your video and talk through what was going on, very awesome.
Anyway, if you pick this back up, I know a bunch of people would have fun with it, but if you never do, I hope you enjoy hacking some other things! Hacking should always be fun, first; then useful second.
