The Arilux SL-LC 01 RGB led controller says it operates on an input voltage of 5V-28V. Can I assume that it just puts through the input voltage to the strip output? I’m guessing it doesn’t do any regulating of the input voltage except powering the esp8266 inside at the correct voltage.
The reason I’m asking is that I’ve ordered some high CRI dual-white led strips that I hope to use with it, and those strips are 24V. (I don’t know if they are common anode or common cathode though…)
I’m going to open up the Arilux anyway to reflash the esp, so I guess I can visually see what they do with the input voltage. A “pure passthrough” would probably be just 3 transistors with the base connected to the esp and the input power just flowing through from emitter to collector (or is it opposite… I’m a software man, not hardware)…
