Outtlook 2way Verification and app password

A quick question. I am trying to set up “IMAP Unread E-mail” but I have set up 2way Verification on my account. My question is does “APP-Password” work on this? I have tried to use an app password but I do not even get sensor in HASS. So I guess something is wrong.

My settings:

sensor:
  - platform: imap
    port: 993
    server: outlook.office365.com
    username: !secret outlook_imap_username
    password: !secret outlook_imap_password

Sorry for late answer. No i didnt, I created an gmail account and send the mail a wanted with a rule.
