Hi I was thinking because I have an oven with induction from Electrolux and it is using hob2hood function which is probably an IR transmitter. It works fine for Electrolux hoods but I have a Siemens one with wifi and Home Connect. Would it be possible to somehow receive those IR commands and send to Home Connect hood to start the hood? I have found the IR codes but do not know how to communicate it with Home Connect. Any help? 
I have made a simple IR receiver (ESP8266 with Tasmota) that reports codes received to MQTT. From there it is straightforward to act on these commands.
Hi, yes but how to send any commands to Siemens Home Connect hood? Is there any simple way or it needs hacking the hood?
If the Siemens Home Connect hood has WiFi and Home Connect, isn’t there an integration for it?
