Overkiz + TaHoma Switch: Devices detected but no commands work

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with the Overkiz integration and my Somfy TaHoma Switch.

Environment:

  • Home Assistant Core 2026.7.4
  • Home Assistant OS 18.2
  • Running as a VM on Proxmox
  • Somfy TaHoma Switch
  • io-homecontrol raffstores
  • Somfy garage doors
  • Overkiz integration

Problem:

All devices are discovered correctly.
Device states are sometimes correct and sometimes incorrect.
Status updates appear sporadically.
No commands from Home Assistant have ever worked.

open_cover, close_cover and set_cover_position do nothing.

The same issue affects garage doors.

Everything works perfectly from the TaHoma mobile app.

What I already tried:

  • Removed and re-added the Overkiz integration

  • Updated Home Assistant to the latest version

  • Reloaded the integration

  • Restarted Home Assistant

Diagnostics:

The downloaded Overkiz diagnostics show:

alive: false
connectivity.status: DISCONNECTED

Additional observations:

  • Home Assistant sometimes receives position values (e.g. 99%).

  • Commands appear in the activity log, but the devices never react.

  • Some entities occasionally show as unavailable.

Question:

Has anyone seen this behavior with a TaHoma Switch and io-homecontrol devices? Is this a known issue with the current Overkiz integration?

Thanks in advance.

No, this is not a known issue. Feel free to create an issue on GitHub, where you include your diagnostics and log files (with debug mode on). If your gateway shows ‘alive: false’ and DISCONNECTED, this is most likely an issue with your gateway / configuration.
