Context / Inspiration
Configuring the same dashboard elements repetitively becomes tedious.
If you do this for any amount of time, then like me, you probably configure the same groups of elements in multiple control panels and surfaces.
Here’s a few cards for example that I use for a climate control panel in a room, combining a custom mushroom card with a temp and humidity gague and a thermostat:
Suggestion
Grafana excels in visualization and has a library panels feature whereby users can save recurrent items as panels intended for exactly this use case.
If you find yourself using the same elements frequently in dashboards you can save it as a panel and retrieve it from any future dashboard. Over time this becomes a big time saver.
Idea / Suggestion
It would be really amazing to implement this as an additional functionality in Home Assistant.
Users can save recurrent elements into a panel library, search through it and call it much as Grafana has implemented the feature.
