NB: If you containerize a database, make sure you give it persistent storage.
Hi,
I use an external MariaDB instance for the recorder module, so as not to burn out the SD card in the RasberryPi 4B HAOS runs on.
Home Assistant starts with no errors regarding the recorder module, the database is accessible from a third computer, and looking at the tables with a SQL client, there appears to be data there.
I have on the weekend upgraded the database server from Rocky Linux 9.4 to 9.5, so there was some downtime.
This morning, I upgraded HA Core from 2024.9.3 to 2024.11.3.
After the upgrade, I noticed that the last two weeks history for my thermostat was not visible in the History page but data from this morning was. There was also a database schema upgrade notification that said it would dismiss when the change was done, it went away almost immediately after I saw it.
If I set the date range to the current year, I can see long term statistics from >6 months ago, starting around Mid July and going backwards.
The 'schema_changes` table lists schema_version entries from 44 → 47 as changed this morning.
My question is, is there a way to verify the database schema upgrade completed successfully or is still in progress?
Rolling back to 2024.9.3 does not have any effect.
I also note that the Energy Dashboard is claiming that I produced 2000 kWh of solar energy in the span of 60min this morning… something is messed up.
