Hello everyone!
I have a HomeAssistant installed and on RaspberryPi. It’s NIC is behind my router and all is fine, however I want to add another NIC in order for it to connect to my TV settop box which for some particular reasons is not behind the router. I don’t want to have the exposed attack surface so I’d like to have the DHCP assign whatever settings it assigns, which would make my HA connect to the TV box, however I’d like to remove the gateway as an additional assurance it’d not try to communicate with anything else but the TV box…
Any suggestions if and how it can be done? My searches so far have boiled down to setting up static IP configuration which would not work for me.
Thanks!
[edit]Turns out I’ve upgraded with a new settop box that does not have the same requirements the previous one had, so all that stuff would not be needed. Thank you for your time!
