Pasting into VSCode is not possible on mac

It tells me I have to enable pop ups and content blockers which I have done but still it refuses to allow paste. I can paste on my iPad. On my mac I have tried Safari, chrome, edge, Firefox and DuckDuckGo. All with settings to allow pasting but HA still refuses to allow paste.

What on earth is causing this?

Use shift-insert
OR
CTRL + C and CTRL + V with cursor in the line without nothing selected.

Thanks, weird it doesn’t support mouse 'Paste"…
