Ever opened a window to “cool the room down” and somehow made it warmer, wetter, or both?
PenguFresh helps Home Assistant decide when opening the windows actually makes sense. It compares indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, uses absolute humidity and dew point, and gives you one simple answer per room:
Ventilate Keep the windows closed
It supports multiple rooms, Apartment/Basement/Garage profiles, °C/°F, automations, and comes with its own compact dashboard card.
Less guessing. Fewer accidental tropical basements. More fresh air.
I installed it, I like it, and I’ll have to see, if it’s helpful going forward.
One comment:
The card needs to show which area it’s for - in my case: ‘Den’ - somewhere on the card. Otherwise, it’s too much of a guessing game as soon as you want to use it for more than one room/area
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve added this in PenguFresh 0.4.3.
The card can now show the selected room/area directly, and the label can be automatic, customized, or hidden. I also added a few additional card styles for different dashboard layouts.
Hopefully that makes multi-room setups a lot less of a guessing game
