Philips Hue Dimmer RWL022, control two separate lights or groups (ZHA)

This works with ZHA only, and has been tested in latest 2025.9.x homeassistant.

  • Use On/Off Button to control first light or zigbee group
  • Use Hue Button to control second light or zigbee group
  • Use Up and Down to control brightness of either lights or groups that are On

I use it to control both the main light in one button and a group of spot lights on the second. Whatever light is on can have its brightness adjusted by the up and down button.

Open your Home Assistant instance and show the blueprint import dialog with a specific blueprint pre-filled.

Hi @brodock with the most recent version of HA this blueprint has stopped working. None of the hue dimmers worked. I tried removing and reinstalling and now only the turn on button works. I think this has something to do with the recent HA updates.

So to confirm after reinstalling the latest blueprint, using the latest HA version,

  • Only switch on works (pressing the same button again does not toggle off). No entry in logbook if I press the button again
  • Dim up / down doesn’t work (does show entry in logs - see screenshot)

Anybody got this working? My hue dimmer switches don’t work properly anymore.

This does work for me on latest home assistant version. Can you try re-pairing the remote again?

What is the dimming like? I have been trying to get nice smooth dimming but not been able to achieve this so far.

Just want to say thanks @brodock. It’s working for me, including the brightness buttons.

I configured both the top and bottom buttons to the same light group so anyone can turn them off/on intuitively if they think the Hue button is off, like the original Hue dimmer switches.

I have imported but it doesnt find the remotes for some reason

Do they need to be added using zigbee or can it be done via the hue hub? I currently have it via the hub (assuming wrongly)

This way, and specifically ZHA.

This is specific for ZHA
