That does not sound normal, but I am not sure how it would related to this integration. Does it do the same when powering off from the Hue app?
Maybe it is something related to the HDMI-CEC settings?

Nope when I turn the strips behind the TV off via the app, nothing else is affected. I donât think Iâve ever deliberately turned the Sync box (8k) off.
Also to elaborate, I meant this occurs when I toggle the power within the integration
The power switch in the integration should do the same as this power button in the Hue app. Could you try that power switch and see what it does?
Hello,
I am a complete beginner when it comes to using Philips Hue with Home Assistant, and I want to set up actions for my new SofaBaton X2 remote that involve Hue. I want to include the Hue Sync Box 8K in all activities on the remote. I know I can do this using the âStart Syncâ command. What I donât quite understand yet is how âsmartâ Home Assistant is in this regard. When I switch between activitiesâfor example, from Apple TV to the satellite receiverâdo I always need to include a âStop Syncâ command when ending the current activity and a âStart Syncâ command when starting the new one? Or does Home Assistant recognize that the webhook is already active?
I donât understand what you mean with the activities on the remote or the webhook part. That sounds very specific for Sofabaton.
This integration allows you to control the Hue syncbox. When you want to send what commands is up to you, or the automations you build. Which in turn can be triggered by other integrations like (probably) the Sofabaton integration.
Hello,
Iâve had Home Assistant for two days now. I installed HACS and the MQTT broker. I added the Hue Sync Box via HACS and tried out the associated automations. I successfully transmitted the MQTT command from my remote control. Can anyone explain why the automation isnât triggering?
Show us the full yaml please.

Iâve just checked on mine and turning on the switch ought to be sufficient.
If you try manually, ie just toggling the switch directly in Home Assistant, does it work?
If it does then the issue might be with your trigger.
I last watched TV yesterday evening, and the automation worked fine. Today, when I started things up, the Sync Box didnât turn on automatically. I then manually triggered and stopped the automation in HA, and that worked. Now, if I start it using the SofaBaton, it works again. Could something be âgoing to sleepâ? Unfortunately, Iâm a complete beginner when it comes to troubleshooting this kind of thing.
