Pi-Hole v6 - new integration cannot login

PiHoles running v6, using the new integration (bastgau on GitHub).

Login name: whatevs (doesn’t seem to matter)
Address: https://192.168.xxx.x:443/api
Password: created and enable new pw as instructed

  • can ping the PiHoles from HA terminal

Attempt to set up integration gives error:

Failed to connect to the server. Ensure that the server address and the port are correct.

I get the same with two identical piholes.

Have you tried https://ip/api, no port.
If you go to a web browser and you try to reach the same address you should see some kind of page with some unauthorized text does it works?

Thanks…now it works…it proved to be a slightly misconfigured Unifi Firewall rule that was blocking…only that. Sigh.
