Port forwarding to HA on Proxmox VM

Hi!
I’m trying to setup remote access to HA via DuckDNS + Port Forwarding and have some problems.
HA installed on a Proxmox server and I’m not sure: is there anything I need to do with Proxmox VM with HA when I’m setting up port forwarding to this VM?
I know, thats this problem is very specific, but I’m hoping thats there is someone who faced the same problem…

Not an exact answer for you, but from my understanding, port forwarding is not very secure and you are opening a vulnerability to attack. I used to run HA supervised on an RPI4 with the DuckDNS addon and actually ran into trouble from time to time because they were having outages. I switched to the cloudflared addon and never looked back - it requires no port forwarding. I am actually using a VM now but it is on a RAPI5 using KVM to have a VM running HAOS. I’ve stuck with cloudflared, still no issues -

No there is nothing extra to do. Just port forward in your router to the VM IP address.

Make sure to “accept the terms” in the DuckDNS configuration so that it uses LetsEncrypt to protect you from sending unencrypted traffic over the Internet.

Also it would be wise to set up MFA.
