Since in the last major HA update the “Cookidoo” integration (shopping list which I use together with my wife) has been introduced, I´m searching for a method to use Alexa to fill it with entrys.
Isnt it possible to create an automation using the Speech-to-Text entity to create entrys in the cookidoo entity? In my head it sounds quite simple but I´m really bad in creating automations. Can somehow give an advice?
I’ve been looking for a way to automate the process of adding items to my Cookidoo shopping list via Alexa. With the latest Home Assistant update introducing the Cookidoo integration, it seems like this should be possible, but I’m struggling to make it work.
I’d love to use Alexa’s speech-to-text capabilities to simply say the item I want to add to the shopping list, and have it automatically populate the Cookidoo shopping list. I’m thinking it should be as simple as setting up a trigger when Alexa records the speech, and then using a template to add the item to Cookidoo. However, I’m not sure how to connect the dots between Alexa capturing my speech, Home Assistant processing it, and then sending the proper data to the Cookidoo integration.
