I recently got a SwitchBot Bot to be able to automate a “dumb” device. I was planning on installing a Shelly PM Mini gen3 to be able to monitor the energy consumption of this device and also serve as a bluetooth proxy to control the SwitchBot Bot.
Before I installed the Shelly PM Mini gen3 on the outlet where this device is connected, I tested close to another Shelly PM Mini gen3 that I have, and the SwitchBot Bot failed to respond to the bluetooth commands. Afterwards I found out that the Shelly don’t support Active Bluetooth Proxy, when you actually send commands, which is required for the SwitchBot Bot to work.
Now I’m looking for either a smart relay or a smart EU plug (I live in the EU) that supports Active Bluetooth Proxy. I want something reliable, that works local only with home assistant, that has power metering and 16A output capacity.
Any recommendations?
