Power Outage bricked HASS Yellow

Hi all, looking for help:
After a power outage, my Home Assistant Yellow (CM4 Lite, NVMe boot) stopped working. Power and Ethernet LEDs are on, but it doesn’t show up on the network. It also won’t enter USB boot mode — not detected by rpiboot, and nothing shows in Device Manager. BOOT button method followed exactly with multiple data cables and PCs. Yellow LED turns on when holding RESET but no activity blinking. Suspecting CM4 failure, but wondering if there’s any way to confirm before replacing. NVMe may still be intact. Any ideas?

How are you powering it? PoE or Power brick?

It’s the power brick version.

Try another power supply. It may have been damaged (not outing out enough voltage or filtering caps allowing to much ripple or both).

Tried a different power brick and no luck. Any other ideas, thanks for your help.

Do you have a way of putting the NVMe in another computer to see if you can read anything on it?

Not that I’m aware of, also I was looking to buy a USB adapter for one and it’s nearly as cheap to just buy a new NVMe. Do you think it would be more likely the NVMe or CM4 that is fried? Thanks

I don’t like guessing, That is why I said tested the NVMe in other computer. It does a couple things. It could eliminate the NVMe or show it as bad. Then you can move on to the CM4.
CM4 - reload without the SSD

Drop/scroll down to load the software. without the SSD installed
It it takes and starts up with on boarding, then the CM4 is good.

I tried everything you suggested. Thanks! I couldn’t get it to work. I ended up taking a punt and bought a new CM5 and it’s up and running now. Thanks for all your help!!
