It seems like a very reasonable price for a power supply. A decent price does not guarantee decent quality, but the reverse is almost always true. Cheap is almost never decent.

Do you have an old wall-wort from a dead phone? I use those.
I use existing USB ports for my ESPhome devices - USB port on my TVs, desktop computer ++
how did you put this in the wallbox behind the switch
You put a 5 volt ESP that isn’t commercially in an insulating enclosure already into a mains wall box? You are on your own with that.
