Power supply for wall mounted tablet

Hi guys, I am looking for some solution for smart wall outlet. I have a tablet mounted on the wall powered via “stupid” usb outlet hidden in the wall, but “always” charging is doing the battery damaged, and I must replace it once a year. I am looking for some smart outlet, so I can control charging cycles. The issue is, I cannot find any solution. I am based in Europe, so no wood walls but heavy bricks, thus just limited space and there is no way to bring PoE there, so only 230V. How are you managing that?

I’m not aware of any such solution,
the charger has not any feedback from the usb slot for the battery levels/status, unless you’re ok for tearing apart your tablet and put some kind of charging circuitry (BMS to be precise) directly to the internal battery.
I think you have to get a “smart” tablet which only charges at 40-60% when always connected
I use a Lenovo with this feature and I’m very satisfied so far

SAme here, using a Lenovo with built in battery protection software, keeping battery max 60 %.

I just use a smart wall socket (https://www.click4electrics.co.uk/click-smart-home-accessories-c-957_1117/click-smart-13a-2-gang-zigbee-smart-switched-socket-outlet-p-10502) and use FullyKiosk on the tablet so that the battery status gets reported back to HA (among its other useful features).
Then I have an automation in HA to turn off the socket to discharge the battery, and then turn it back on when the battery reaches <20%
