I am having an issue tracking some daily energy usage of a group of sensors.
The usage stats is way off, but only on the energy dashboard, not sure why that is happening.
Checking the history seems to report accurately.

I dont think you can have resetting sensors grouped to have a total that you can yse in the energy dashboard. While it may look ok, the individual sensors won’t reset at exactly the same time. A partial drop of a total_increasing sensor will count as an instant use of the non zero remainder.
What you can do is wrap the resetting sensors into a utility meter without a reset cycle. That way they will be ever increasing. Those ever increasing sensors you can total in a group. Because the value of the total group never drops, it does not have the same problem. That sensor can be put in the energy dashboard.
they seem to spike right before an automation change that happens at 5pm as well, over 5 mins the usage spikes huge. Guess that would make since if they never actually reset
That huge spike looks like actual use, whether that is true or not. You should look into the reason if the spike. You can edit it out in long term stats via the developer tools for once, but you do. ot want to keep doing that every time it happens.
Is it perhaps a Riemann sum integral sensor? If so, make sure to set it on left Riemann, not trapeziod or anything else.
I dbl checked all the sensors and none of them are reporting that much usage, they have only been in use maybe 3 days.
Even the untracked consumption isnt even close to that high. I have another meter logging everything daily and it never hit that high either, very strange. I know for sure its not usage as nothing else is on the sensor or the circuits the sensor is in.
But is it a Riemann sum integral sensor collecting energy from power?
Not running that type of sensor, its just a group of sensor with the total daily energy usage being sent

That is what I am thinking, I have went thru everything I can think of, Including checking that Riemann sum integral sensor already.
Its very odd how it happens over 5 mins after running all day. I will see if it happens again today, I guess. I even removed everything and recreated it just to make sure i was not getting a typo somewhere.
Thx for trying though, I am still learning HAOS so its all useful to go through again anyways.
Its very bizarre as its only that one group doing it around that time, everywhere else is tracking the usage as normal.
